Once you arrive in Kodiak, all that you need to bring is warm clothes, lunch, camera, Alaska fishing license, and strong arms!

It is recommended that clients leaving on a long range trip arrive in Kodiak the day prior to departure. This allows ample time to get licenses and other items you might need.

Weather and Gear: Since you will be participating in the Kodiak Rain Festival, (Jan. 1st- Dec.31st) proper foul weather gear is recommended! Gore-Tex or similar raingear is essential. Knee high rubber boots are also needed. Prepare for daytime temperatures ranging from the mid 50’s to low 70’s. Temperature out at sea always is a bit cooler so layering is desired. Although the Emerald Isle does get its fair share of rain, polarized sunglasses are recommended as well, for those sunny days on the water. Freshwater Salmon and Trout fisherman may also want to pack their chest-waders for days spent ashore in the stream.
